February 16 at the Technology Park of Bizkaia
Knowledge about materials has been essential throughout the history of man, allowing us to ensure the proper functioning and application of any object or mechanism. Each advance in the field of materials has always opened the door to new possibilities and new products, in addition to improving existing products. Having access to the material that is most appropriate for a given application ultimately controls costs and guarantees product quality.
The latest advances have made high-performance materials more accessible and economical, facilitating their use in hostile environments. This evolution has been spurred by interest in searching for new energy sources in space and in the ocean as well as interest in simply reducing costs and extending the life of products, systems and infrastructure.
Within this context, the IK4 Research Alliance is hosting a day-long seminar, “Technological Solutions for Materials in Hostile Environments”, for companies and other relevant attendees that are interested in learning about some of the latest technologies, applications and trends in this area from a technical point of view.
The seminar will be held in the Auditorium of the Science and Technology Park of Bizkaia’s main building (Zamudio) on February 16. Presentations will be given by experts from Sociemat, BSH Zaragoza, Azterlan, Ikerlan and Ceit. Registration is free and can be done through the seminar’s web page.
