Summary
El trabajo de investigación desarrollado en este proyecto ha estado concentrado en los siguientes cuatro objetivos:
-
The development of wireless technologies aimed at the design of the physical broadband medium of the communications system (design of a MAC to guarantee time restrictions and reliability) and the development of a prototype for its validation. In another aspect, the work has had as its main task the development of a functional prototype of a vehicle positioning system using all the information sources available at all times; Likewise, a first laboratory verification of the system has been carried out. Last but not least, we have worked on the design of mechanisms that allow the selection of the available communication channel or channels in a simple and automated way, and the study of the advantages and disadvantages of different frequency hopping techniques.
-
Development of new technologies in Power Electronics, addressing the problem of dynamic contactless charging of electric vehicles and deepening their knowledge and applicability, as well as, on the other hand, working on predictive monitoring and fault tolerance of the most relevant components of power converters and electrical machines, validating a fault tolerant multiphase motor prototype and its associated converter.
-
Study and development of Operational and Maintenance Technologies, targeting predictive maintenance systems based on data obtained from a wheel profile meter. For this, it has been necessary to provide connectivity to the measurement system, bearing in mind that the communications platform (cloud architecture with Data Science application) must maintain the security, confidentiality and integrity of the data.
-
Study and development of Technologies for the analysis and understanding of the scene with the primary objective of implementing scene analysis and compression technologies from three perspectives: Semantic understanding of the environment, data manipulation, interpretation and automatic classification and, finally, the interpretation of the scene in which public transport occurs, characterizing and quantifying the behavior of the various types of passengers, capturing and interpreting the interaction
Ceit's role in the project
Ceit's role in this project has been focused, on the one hand, on the development of a functional prototype positioning system that allows the reliable determination of the situation of a vehicle using all the sources of information available at all times. In addition to a first laboratory verification of the system.
On the other hand, in the development of new Power Electronics technologies with application to vehicles; specifically, the study of the problem of dynamic contactless charging and, on the other hand, work on the validation of predictive monitoring and fault tolerance of the most relevant components of power converters, such as bus capacitors high voltage and IGBTs of the inverter power stage. Furthermore, a fault tolerant multiphase motor has been validated by manufacturing a prototype together with its associated converter.
