The Ceit technology centre will showcase its latest innovations for the railway sector from 24 to 27 September at the InnoTrans trade fair in Berlin (Germany).
The Ceit technology centre will once again participate in InnoTrans, the leading international trade fair for transport technology, which will take place in Berlin from 24 to 27 September 2024. On this occasion, Ceit will exhibit its latest developments for the railway sector at stand 330b in hall 24, where it will share space with InspectRail, the startup specialised in inspection and monitoring of railway infrastructures, recently promoted by the centre.
InnoTrans, divided into five major segments covering rail technology, infrastructure, public transport, interiors and tunnel construction, has established itself as one of the world's most relevant events in its sector, attracting the main global players in transport and innovation. Ceit's participation in this edition underlines its continued commitment to leading companies in the rail sector, including Alstom, Adif, Bombardier, CAF, Knorr-Bremse, Network Rail and Pandrol.
Four demonstrators Throughout the show, Ceit will present its latest innovations, developed within the framework of the European project Europe's Rail Joint Undertaking (EU-Rail), which aims to deliver, through an integrated system approach, a high-capacity, flexible, multimodal, sustainable, reliable and integrated European rail network for passengers and freight. Key innovations that Ceit will showcase include:
- An axel monted power harvester that solves the energy restrictions of freight wagons, enabling their digitisation and improving their operational performance.
- An innovative track crossing monitoring model based on physical models to optimise infrastructure and maintenance costs.
- A track repair method based on additive manufacturing with Laser Cladding technology to reduce costs in maintenance processes, extending the lifetime of railway infrastructure.
- A demonstrator for the rail freight digitalisation, which includes functionalities such as train compositions, wagon monitoring, cargo monitoring or locomotive driver desk.
Ceit's presence at InnoTrans 2024 reinforces its position in the innovative ecosystem of the rail sector and allows it to connect with buyers and sellers of passenger and freight transport globally.aims to deliver, via an integrated system approach, a high-capacity, flexible, multimodal, sustainable, reliable and integrated EU railway network for European passengers and cargo.
