Red.es visits the use cases of the 5G Euskadi project in Biscay

The 5G Euskadi project is an excellent test bed to demonstrate the benefits of 5G technology to predict and evaluate different factory scenarios in order to be more efficient in decision making thanks to its virtual twin. Thus, Gestamp, with the collaboration of the UPV/EHU, has focused above all on connecting the logistics process of the entire area where the 5G connection is being tested. "By having the geolocation and the needs of our processes in real time, the virtual twin helps us to decide which logistics operator should perform the task and how and when it should be performed," says Jorge Vázquez, head of Virtual Factory projects at Gestamp.
